1. What are my options to add Mockups to JIRA Studio?#

There are two ways to add the Mockups plugin to your JIRA Studio instance.

1. Buy it from Atlassian by adding it to your JIRA Studio bill. This will enable the Mockups plugin for ALL of your JIRA Studio users, both in the wiki and in the issue tracker.
2. Buy it from us. Purchasing Mockups for Confluence and/or Mockups for JIRA from us, and sending the key(s) to Atlassian via a support ticket. This allows more flexibility, given that you can choose which license level you'd like to purchase and what part of JIRA studio you'd like to enhance with our plugin.

2. I want to buy from Atlassian. How do I do that?#

Simply log on to my.atlassian.com, select Licenses, JIRA Studio, then click on the "Configure" link.

On the resulting page, check the "Include Balsamiq Mockups for JIRA Studio" checkbox and hit "Continue" to save your change.

Your next bill from Atlassian will contain the price of the plugin as well.

This option is more expensive than buying the plugin directly from us, but it's also much more convenient: with a simple checkbox you enable the plugin to ALL of your users, BOTH in the wiki and in the issue tracker. You also don't have to track two separate maintenance periods, EULAs, etc.

3. I want to buy from you. How do I do that?#

This option gives you two choices that the option above doesn't give you:

1. You can choose if you only want the plugin on top of your wiki, your issue tracker, or both.
2. You can choose if you only want some of your JIRA Studio users to be able to create and edit mockups with the plugin.

If this is your preferred choice, you first purchase Mockups for Confluence and/or Mockups for JIRA from our buy page, then send Atlassian the license info we send you via a support ticket from your JIRA Studio account.

4. Who supports Balsamiq Mockups when run inside of JIRA Studio?#

Atlassian takes care of setting up the license keys you might have purchased from us. They also resell Mockups from my.atlassian.com.

Other than that, support is done by our team.

5. How does plugin maintenance work in JIRA Studio?#

In JIRA Studio updates are done regularly (roughly every 6-8 weeks) and automatically by Atlassian, so every JIRA Studio customer is always running the latest version of both Atlassian products and our plugins.

This has many benefits of course, but it effectively means that if you want to use our plugin inside of JIRA Studio, you have to make sure your maintenance license is valid. If you bought from Atlassian you have nothing to worry about as maintenance is covered by your monthly payment. If you bought from us, you'll have to purchase a maintenance license yearly in order to keep using the plugin. You can find the maintenance period for your license in the email receipt we sent you or by asking Atlassian to look it up for you in your JIRA Studio installation.
